Critical Minerals Queensland

Critical Minerals Queensland (CMQ) turns potential into progress, supporting real projects, attracting investment and creating jobs. As the central gateway for critical minerals investors and industry, CMQ coordinates across government so projects can move more efficiently from concept to delivery.
This approach is already delivering results. By connecting local proponents with global resource and investment partners, CMQ is helping facilitate major capital raises and unlock new investment opportunities in Queensland projects.
CMQ is also helping address common barriers to project development through place-based initiatives. In the North West, two defined Critical Minerals Zones in Julia Creek/Richmond and Mount Isa/Cloncurry are supporting coordinated project development. Baseline social, water and ecological studies are providing proponents with pre-prepared baseline data, reducing duplication and reducing project timeframes by up to two years.
Most jurisdictions promote their resource projects; Queensland goes further. CMQ provides hands-on support from the first project conversation through to delivery, with the full weight of coordinated government support behind every project.
