feature minerals from the Australian Government’s Strategic and Critical Minerals List
have received support through the Queensland Critical Minerals and Battery Technology Fund.

These projects represent key examples of the state’s growing leadership in critical minerals and battery technology development.

Copper

Great Duchess Copper Gold Project

The Greater Duchess Copper Cold Project is located near Mt Isa and is targeting Iron Oxide Copper-Gold (IOCG).

Dianne Project

This project is redeveloping the historic Dianne copper mine in North Queensland.

Vanadium

Saint Elmo

Queensland's first vanadium and HPA project aims to mine vanadium and process vanadium pentoxide, HPA and other critical mineral products.

Julia Creek Vanadium and Energy Project

This is a unique project, targeting a resource that contains one of the single largest vanadium deposits in the world.

Lindfield Project

The Lindfield project is located in North West Queensland, and intends to supply vanadium.

Richmond-Julia Creek

The Richmond-Julia Creek vanadium project is the largest non-titanomagnetite vanadium deposit of its kind in the world.

Vecco Critical Minerals Project

The mining stage of the Vecco Critical Minerals Project is located in Julia Creek, with a facility in Australia and a planned facility in Europe.

Cape Flattery Silica Sand

The Cape Flattery Silica Sand project will extract and process raw sand for glass manufacturing.

Northern Silica Project

The Northern Silica Project in North Queensland is aiming to become a leading supplier of low-cost silica sand product.

Sugarbag Hill UHQPS Project

The Sugarbag Hill project is set to become a cornerstone in the global supply of Ultra-High Purity Quartz Sand.

Cobalt and nickel

Townsville Energy Chemicals Hub

The TECH project is developing a critical minerals refinery in North Queensland to support the growing lithium-ion battery manufacturing sector.

Graphite

BAM Graphite

The Battery Anode Materials (BAM) graphite project aims to produce graphite for use in EVs and battery storage systems.

Esmerelda

The Esmerelda Graphite Project is Queensland's largest graphite resource.

Tungsten

Mt Carbine

EQ resources is re-opening the Mt Carbine mine and is expecting to produce around 4,000t of tungsten concentrate each year.

High-purity alumina

HPA First Project

Alpha HPA is currently producing around 350t HPA per year, and aims to be one of the largest refineries in the world.

Lava Blue HPA

Lava Blue has a large mineral property portfolio in North Queensland, and an active minerals exploration and development program.

Rare-earth elements

Brisbane Mineral Separation and Processing Plant

The MSPP can process up to 450,000 tonnes per annum of heavy mineral concentrate.

Sandy Mitchell Rare Earth Project

This project is the first of its kind on the ASX with a JORC resource.
